Sweet Potato Mash with Apple and Cinnamon
Ingredients:
1 medium sweet potato, peeled and diced
1 small apple, peeled, cored, and diced
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon unsalted butter or coconut oil
2-3 tablespoons breast milk or formula
Instructions:
Steam the sweet potato and apple together in a steamer basket for about 15 minutes or until soft.
Transfer the steamed sweet potato and apple to a mixing bowl.
Add the cinnamon and butter or coconut oil, then use a fork or potato masher to mash everything together until smooth.
Add the breast milk or formula, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. Mix well.
Serve the mash warm or at room temperature. You can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
